PostScript Character Codes

To place special characters in a Quikscript document, %C,code% is used. The code is taken from this table.

The numbers in the "Standard PostScript" column should be used unless you include the "European characters" file to switch to the other column.

The European set is based on the ISO-8859-1 character set, with some changes. The Quikscript European set augments the ISO characters with other typesetting characters that many documents require, with these characters given codes that will not interfere with normally used characters. Also, the code for partial characters such as dotlessi, breve, caron, ogonek, have been changed from the Adobe codes to allow the non-ISO characters to be added to the set in positions above 127.
