It is wonderful how much news there is when people write every other day; if they wait for a month, there is nothing that seems worth telling. O. Douglas (1917-1998) in Penny Plain (1920).

Articles and Notes

Some of the following notes tell of interesting personal events and some express my point-of-view on things of general interest.

On reading these notes, you may be amused or bored, may agree or violently disagree or don't care, think it accurate or inaccurate or a complete fabrication, find it abstract or obvious, get it or don't get the point of it BUT from my side permit me to say that I have tried to convey worthwhile thoughts and genuine feelings and I have been as honest as possible within my limitations of putting events and ideas in words. In these notes I don't mean any harm or insult or pain to anyone. Forgive me if these notes disturb or trouble you. Please be patient and forgiving.

I hope reading some of these notes will be worth your while. Thanks for your interest and understanding.

Thus Spake (or wrote) my friends, saints, and authors

There is a saying: Divine are they who learn from the mistakes of others, humans learn from their own mistakes, but animals are they who don't learn even from their own mistakes.

I try to collect interesting lessons which have a personal touch. I keep adding to it as I remember them from my past experiences.

Thus Spake - Collection of tit-bits
