AUSTRALIAN STUDENTS

For full time local students with at least Honours 2-1 or equivalent commencing a Masters by research or a PhD, the School is prepared to pay a living allowance scholarship from School funds equivalent to the University College Postgraduate Research Scholarship for the normal term of the candidacy.

Conditions:
1. Student must apply in every subsequent round for an APA or UCPRS.
2. Continuation of the scholarship is subject to satisfactory progress review.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

For full time international students with at least Honours 2-1 or equivalent commencing a Masters by research or a PhD (Honours Div 1) who are required to pay international student fees, the School is prepared to pay from School funds a Tuition Fee Scholarship which will meet the student's international fees and international health care cover.

Conditions:
1. Student must apply in every subsequent round for an IPRS.
2. Continuation of the scholarship is subject to satisfactory progress review.

Where a full time international students with at least Honours 2-1 or equivalent has a scholarship that pays tuition fees and doesn't have a living allowance scholarship, the School is prepared to pay a living allowance scholarship from School funds equivalent to the University College Postgraduate Research Scholarship for the normal term of the candidacy.

Conditions:
1. Student must apply in every subsequent round for a UCPRS
2. Continuation of the scholarship is subject to satisfactory progress review.

Notes:

An international student cannot hold both a tuition fee scholarship and a living allowance scholarship both funded by the School simultaneously.

It is quite appropriate for an international student to receive a tuition fee scholarship from the School with living allowance funded from a staff member's research grant.
